Which is followed by Changing Nature: Population and Environment at a Crossroads (9 p.m., Ch. 7), which reports on the impact burgeoning populations in Africa are having on the environment.

American Idol (7 p.m., Ch. 13): The competition continues as the final seven perform.

Gilmore Girls (7 p.m., Ch. 30): Lorelai's parents finally find out about her ongoing relationship with Jason.

I'm With Her (7:30 p.m., Ch. 4): Alex is blackmailed into appearing in a high-school kid's student film.

Happy Family (7:30 p.m., Ch. 5): The season finale, which was supposed to air last week but got knocked off the schedule by the presidential news conference, airs this week. So tens of millions of viewers had to wait seven days to not watch this lame sitcom.

The Guardian (8 p.m., Ch. 2): A sexual-harassment suit rocks the firm.

Frasier (8 p.m., Ch. 5): Frasier plots to win Charlotte away from her boyfriend. And that boyfriend, by the way, is played by BYU-grad Aaron Eckhart.

24 (8 p.m., Ch. 13): Agents pursue the guy who escaped their net and exited the hotel — taking the virus into the population with him.

One Tree Hill (8 p.m., Ch. 30): Brooke drops a bombshell on Lucas (who has no one but himself to blame for the trouble he may be in).

Scrubs (8:30 p.m., Ch. 5): J.D. is more than a bit surprised when Sean makes a sudden reappearance.

NYPD Blue (9 p.m., Ch. 4): A gunshot victim can't remember anything.
