Salt Lake-based R.C. Willey Home Furnishings recently was honored by Hewlett-Packard for selling more HP cameras during the Christmas selling season than any other store worldwide.
Nathan Greer, HP territory sales manager, presented an award to the company for promoting HP's international sales during the Nov. 1-Dec. 31 period.
R.C. Willey buyers Linda Walters and Brett Hiatt noted that the company used a novel approach to help customers deal with digital camera technology. Parents were handed an HP digital camera and instructed on how to take a photo of their children with Santa. Parents then took the memory card from the camera and placed it into an HP printer to get the free photo.
The company has 12 locations in Utah, Idaho and Nevada.
