Head 2 Toe (4 and 4:30 p.m., Lifetime): This is basically just another makeover show — but the second-season premiere features Joan and Melissa Rivers, which turns it into something too incredibly annoying to sit through.

Merge (5 and 9 p.m., Lifetime): This, on the other hand, is one of the better home-makeover shows. While a pair of newlyweds are off on their honeymoon, the "Merge" team combines their stuff to redecorate the home they'll occupy together. Of course, some stuff gets donated to charity and some is so bad it goes through the wood-chipper. This show is so good that I even like host Lisa Rinna, an actress who has annoyed me in everything I've ever seen her in before. (Second-season premiere)

Joan of Arcadia (7 p.m., Ch. 2): God wants Joan (Amber Tamblyn) to keep Adam's sculpture out of an art show. (Repeat)

Dateline (7 p.m., Ch. 5): A report on racial profiling; a profile of comic Chris Rock.

Reba (7 p.m., Ch. 30): Reba reluctantly goes into business with Barbara Jean. (Repeat)

Hope & Faith (8 p.m., Ch. 4): Both sisters get jobs at a local newspaper. (That must be quite a publication.)

Life with Bonnie (8:30 p.m., Ch. 4): Tony is knocked unconscious and imagines the cast in various different situations. (Season finale)

The D.A. (9 p.m., Ch. 4): The last episode of the four ABC ordered. Given the show's lackluster ratings, it probably will be the last, period.

Third Watch (9 p.m., Ch. 5): Monroe is involved in a car accident.
