NEW YORK Producer Mark Burnett continued riding high last week with two of his prime-time games "Survivor: All-Stars" and "The Apprentice" among the five most popular shows last week.
"Survivor" was seen by 21.7 million viewers, and the Donald Trump game had an audience of 20.2 million, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Some of the more interesting stories were near the bottom of the ratings list, however.
That's where you'll find two of ABC's biggest hopes for this spring the drama "The D.A." and the miniseries "Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital." Each had a little more than 5 million viewers last week, fewer than any other prime-time show on ABC, CBS or NBC.
ABC's continued troubles have led to published reports that parent Walt Disney Co. is considering management changes at the network.
Fox's critically praised drama, "Wonderfalls," ranked No. 107 for the week with only 2.9 million viewers, leading to its cancellation.
CBS led again for the week with an average of 13.2 million viewers (8.5 rating, 14 share). NBC was second with 11.1 million viewers (7.4, 12), but led among the 18-to-49-year-old demographic.
Fox had 8.3 million viewers (5.1, 8), ABC 7.4 million (4.8, 8), UPN 2.8 million and the WB 2.6 million (both 1.9, 3).
A ratings point represents 1,084,000 households, or 1 percent of the nation's estimated 108.4 million TV homes. The share is the percentage of in-use TVs tuned to a given show.
For the week of March 29-April 4, the top 10 shows, their networks and viewerships: "CSI," CBS, 26.5 million; "American Idol" (Tuesday), Fox, 25.9 million; "American Idol" (Wednesday), Fox, 21.9 million; "Survivor," CBS, 21.7 million; "Apprentice," NBC, 20.2 million; "CSI: Miami," CBS, 19.7 million; "ER," NBC, 19.2 million; "Without a Trace," CBS, 18.1 million; "Law & Order," NBC, 17.9 million; NCAA Basketball Semifinals, CBS, 16.7 million.
