According to your March 25 article "Cannon targets his foes," Rep. Chris Cannon has charged certain anti-immigration groups with being "anti-life" and possibly racist. Smearing people critical of open-borders immigration is easier than dealing with the issues.
The elite left and elite right do not want a discussion of these issues. The elite leaders of the left are too busy worshiping diversity. They also believe the majority of immigrants will become a reliable voting block for the Democratic Party. The elite leaders of the right like the cheap labor that comes with mass immigration. It keeps their business supporters happy.
Contrary to elite wisdom, polls show a majority of Americans want legal immigration reduced and illegal immigration stopped. When it comes to this issue, Rep. Cannon doesn't seem to care what most Americans want. Matt Throckmorton, who is running for Congress against Rep. Cannon, understands that we should not reward people who enter our country illegally.
