'Illegals' drain economy

In the article by Deborah Bulkily regarding Chris Cannon and "illegal" immigrants amnesty she states that "in a statewide Utah Foundation poll of issues important to voters, released Monday, immigration ranks 14th out of 17. Public education, jobs and water were the top issues in the poll of 604 registered voters."

I do hope that the public can see that public education, jobs and water are issues related to "illegal" immigrants. "Illegal" immigrants do affect public education. We pay for free or reduced lunches and extra aides.

"Illegal" immigrants affect jobs. In our economy when no one fills the jobs, the wages go up. If someone fills them, the wages stay low. If you lose your job, the higher-paying jobs are already filled by "illegal" immigrants.

They affect our water supply. I lived in Arizona where water was scarce, and it was always an issue to stop the flow of "illegal" immigrants because they also consume resources, like water.

In the article, Art Adcock of Orem said many "illegal" immigrants contribute more to society than natives and should be allowed to stay. I would like people who make statements like this to list what "illegal" immigrants contribute more than Americans?
