Jay Vance's letter (Readers' Forum, March 21) misses the point. It's not about who is more "potty mouthed" Sen. Curt Bramble, R-Provo, for calling HEAL Utah "anal" or HEAL for saying some legislators like Bramble are "in bed" with Envirocare. Bramble's crude joke revealed a clear pattern of contempt for Envirocare's critics and was told at a meeting designed to increase Envirocare's political influence.
Bramble co-chairs a legislative task force charged with conducting an open and objective study of radioactive waste issues and then making fair and balanced recommendations. His blatant bias in favor of Envirocare and against its critics compromises that group's integrity and credibility. To restore it, he must resign.
