Environmental Protection Agency administrator and former Utah Gov. Michael Leavitt will give the keynote address May 8 at Southern Utah University's commencement ceremony.
Leavitt was born and raised in Cedar City, home to SUU, and graduated in 1978 from the university, then called Southern Utah State College. He served as governor for nearly 11 years before accepting President Bush's call to head the EPA.
