Cuisine Unlimited Inc. will receive the Salt Lake Chamber's Giant Step Small Business of the Year award at a ceremony March 30 at the Marriott City Center Hotel, 220 S. State.
The chamber's Giant Step awards also will recognize Delta Stone Products for its entrepreneurial success and Colonial Flag & Specialty Co. for its community service. Turning Point Inc. will receive the chamber's home-based business success award.
"We are excited about the winners of the Giant Step Awards this year," Lane Beattie, chamber president, said in a prepared statement. "Their individual stories are moving and their successes are inspiring. They are what the chamber is all about building business in the entrepreneurial spirit."
Cuisine Unlimited was founded by Maxine Turner. Over its 23-year history, Cuisine Unlimited has grown in size and reputation. At the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, it served more than 17 major clients. Cuisine Unlimited has contracts for the Olympic Games in Athens and will cater events in Torino at the Olympic Winter Games in 2006. Nationally, the company has catered events at Lincoln Center and the U.S. Open Golf Tournament.
