The "Holim," the Festival of Colors, will be held Saturday, March 6, 4 p.m. at the Krishna Temple, 8628 S. Main, Spanish Fork.
The public is invited to this event, which will include storytelling and bathing ceremony for India's greatest incarnation, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, whose appearance day coincides with Holim.
There will be musical interludes, the lighting of a bonfire, and the throwing of dry colors on friends and foe alike. The dry powders supplied by the temple are nonstaining, but still guests are cautioned not to wear their "Saturday Best."
To help the temple construction fund, a suggested donation will be asked for the full-course meals served from a buffet table. Attendees are invited bring to bring a fruit or flowers or a cooked vegetarian offering.
