ELBERTA A Payson man accidentally shot himself at least two times in his leg while rabbit hunting over the weekend.
Adam Harp was shooting rabbits with two friends near Alan's Ranch road in the early morning. According to police reports, Harp stepped out of his vehicle to fire a gun but shot himself accidentally in the left leg.
Harp may have been shot two to three times by a .22 semi automatic handgun, said Utah County sheriff's deputy Dennis Harris.
Investigation is continuing concerning the circumstances surrounding the shooting, but it appears to be an accident, according to the sheriff's reports.
