The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Tri-Spur Investment Co. Inc. have agreed to settle a lawsuit brought by the EEOC against Tri-Spur employees accused of sexual harassment and retaliation.
In its initial complaint, the EEOC charged that Tri-Spur employees sexually harassed a class of women at its two Utah area restaurants. The company consistently maintained that it followed the law.
Tri-Spur and the EEOC agreed to settle this dispute with six women for a total of $80,000 to avoid the cost of trial.
