OGDEN A man taken in for questioning in connection with the slaying of the owner of a travel agency was charged Thursday with murder.
Brodie Larry Spell was charged in 2nd District Court with murder and aggravated robbery, both first-degree felonies.
Spell is accused of gunning down Robert Warner McKay at his home Jan. 26. Spell was arrested Jan. 27 and had been held on two unrelated warrants.
McKay and his brother, Don McKay, were co-owners of McKay Travel. McKay was a relative of President David O. McKay, president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 1951 until his death in 1970.
