Never attempt to prune trees that interfere with power lines. Refer such problems to your local utility.
Never wrap rope, wire or tape around damaged tree limbs to hold them together. Instead, pull damaged branches together and drill a hole through them. Insert a bolt through the hole and secure each end with washers and nuts. The bolt stays in place permanently and the bark grows over the metal.
