The new Murray High school was dedicated last week, marking the close of two years of construction to replace the 50-year-old school and give it 25,000 extra square feet of classrooms, library space and commons areas.
"It was a little sad to see the old school building go because we had happy memories associated with it," Murray School District Superintendent Richard Tranter said in a prepared statement. "But this new high school is such an improvement, we already are doing more activities and events that will leave a lasting impression."
