PROVO Provo City Council members will decide the fate of iProvo at their Tuesday meeting.
The council will rule whether to adopt a resolution that would authorize a $39.5 million bond that would use sales tax revenue as collateral to finance iProvo the city's proposed fiber optic telecommunications project.
If approved, the network's ultrahigh-capacity bandwidth would be leased to private firms, which in turn would provide the services at a retail cost to homes and businesses in the city.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the City Council chambers at 351 W. Center. Additional information is available at www.iprovo.net.
