KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) At 85, evangelist Billy Graham still plans another revival meeting this time at Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium on June 17-20.
Graham was not present for the announcement because he was recovering from partial hip replacement in Jacksonville, Fla. His office said doctors expect complete recovery and the injury would not hinder preaching plans.
"I never expected to still be preaching at the age of 85, and yet my call to proclaim the Gospel is as strong as ever," Graham said in a letter to supporters.
Local chairman Richard Hastings, president and CEO of the St. Luke's Health System, said effects from Graham's 1967 and 1978 Kansas City meetings "are still evident in the lives of many Christians and churches."
