Protect God-given rights

Eleven score and seven years ago when the 13 United States ratified The Declaration of Independence, they felt compelled to justify the reasons for breaking away from England. Therefore, in the second sentence they said that God created humanity and gave mankind basic human rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. In the third sentence, they stated that it is the duty of government to protect these God-given basic human rights.

God the Creator with his gift of basic human rights forms the very core of our founding document.

This is a fact, whether the ACLU can read or not.

One's religion is a personal and very private matter, and the government must not interfere with it. As simply stated in the First Amendment, the government shall neither prescribe a particular religion nor prohibit the practice of any religion.

There is a growing movement to secularize our government. It is being waged in the judicial branch of government and is the agenda of the ACLU. Their agenda is to destroy our national motto "In God We Trust," take "One Nation under God" out of the Pledge of Allegiance and remove everything in our national documents that refer to God.

We all must unite to stop this movement. The Founders pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to establish and maintain this great country. Let us pass that same country on to our children.
