I attended the Pops Symphony last night. Other then Leroy Anderson's "Sleighride" and the rendition of "Joy to the World," I left wondering how P.D.Q. Bach fit into a Christmas program.
I would have much rather listened to the "Twelve Days of Christmas" than the "Twelve Signs of the Zodiac."
The little innuendos were out of place at a Christmas program.
The last three pops concerts have been below par.
Let's not dilute the value of one of the best symphonies in the country with sub-par performances. It doesn't fit the best hall, the best city and the best season of the year.
