A rundown of holiday bashes all over Utah

All activities are scheduled July 24 unless otherwise noted.

Salt Lake CountySALT LAKE CITY

July 20 - Days of '47 Invitational Art Show, Utah State Fair Park Grand Building, 155 N. 1000 West, noon to 9 p.m., through July 24.

- Days of '47 World Championship Rodeo, Delta Center, 301 S. West Temple, 7 p.m. nightly through July 24.

July 22 - Arrival of Sesquicentennial Mormon Pioneer Wagon Train, This Is The Place State Park, 11:30 a.m. A welcoming program will be held at 1 p.m., and carried live by KSL-TV and KSL Radio. The Park and Old Deseret Village will be open from 8 a.m to 8 p.m., with children's games, entertainment and pioneer demonstrations. Admission is free. Parking will be restricted - shuttle buses will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. from University of Utah parking lots. Free shuttle bus service will also be offered from the Rio Grande Depot from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with buses departing every 20 minutes. Visitors will be allowed to park at the site after 3 p.m.

- Founders Day Fair, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Rio Grande Station downtown, with shuttle buses to view the Sesquicentennial Wagon Train departing every 20 minutes.

- Utah State Historical Society 100-year birthday celebration, 300 Rio Grande, call 533-3500 for times. Runs through July 24.

July 23 - Wagon train will parade from This Is The Place State Park to the Salt Lake City-County Building at Washington Square, 400 S. State, around 3 p.m. The route will be from the park west to Foothill Blvd., then north on Foothill which becomes 500 South; continues west on 500 South with a little jog around Brewery Hill to 400 South, then back to 500 South at 900 East. From there it will travel west on 500 South to the City-County Building.

The city will present a welcoming program at 5 p.m., featuring Mayor Deedee Corradini and LDS Church President Gordon B. Hinckley. Following the program, a few wagons will remain at Washington Square. Most will travel west on 500 South to 400 West, north to 300 North, then to the Utah State Fairpark for the night.

- Photography exhibit, "Salt Lake City Celebrating 150 Years of Diversity" at the City-County Building, 400 S. State, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

July 24 - Days of '47 Parade, 9 a.m. New parade route beginning at South Temple and Main Street, travels east to 200 East, south to 900 South, then east to 600 East, where it will disband at Liberty Park. "Faith In Every Footstep" is the theme for this year's parade, which will feature 127 entries, in addition to the Sesquicentennial Mormon Wagon Train.
