Hot-air balloons on hand to please the crowd, right. The chilly morning air prompted sisters Kellyanne and Kristen Halford, far right, to wrap up while waiting for the balloons to rise. Utahns celebrated Independence Day with parades, picnics, flag raisings and races. The beautiful weather drew many to recreation spots for hiking, camping, fishing and boating. Fireworks displays will end the Fourth with a bang at the Freedom Festival Stadium of Fire show and at Sugarhouse Park in Salt Lake City. For a list of fireworks shows throughout the state, see B2.
