The Deseret Morning News should be ashamed of publishing as front page news the story of the Dexter family's eviction ("Soldier's family facing eviction"), and Linda Dexter should be ashamed of herself for manipulating the military legal system, the press, and pestering both of our United States senators in her unreasonable and childish quest to stay put. I feel bad for the landlords whose names are being dragged through the mud in this fiasco.
When a person receives notice of a rent increase and can't afford that higher rent, the adult, responsible thing to do is to start looking for another place to live. Yes, we will be homeless 10 days before Christmas, says Linda Dexter. Spare me! The landlords gave Linda Dexter ample notice and deserve kudos for being as patient with her as they have.
