LAYTON Davis County Democrats are inviting the public to a dinner Thursday evening to meet prominent local and national members of the Democratic Party.
"This is Davis County's first big Christmas dinner gathering. We're out there just showing people we're here, and we have great candidates," event organizer Peggy Howe said.
Howe said the dinner at the Red Lobster, at I-15 exit 334, will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will feature Richard Gephardt's oldest son, Matthew; a representative from Howard Dean's presidential organization; Joe Inman, chairman of Utah Democrats for Kucinich for President; Scott M. Matheson Jr.; and state party chairman Donald Dunn.
Dinner costs $25 and RSVPs must be made by calling Howe at 721-4002. She said people are welcome to visit and mingle without staying for dinner.
