While I laud the good-hearted people contributing to the Dexter family account, what seems most needed (besides honest landlords) is a good-hearted loan officer who can help the Dexters qualify for a mortgage. For the $1,050 a month they pay in rent, the Dexters could buy a very nice home in Saratoga Springs or nearby communities especially since they should qualify for a VA mortgage.
