1937: 35 aircraft, 75 pilots, 11 municipal airports

1975: 1,082 registered aircraft, 4,362 pilots, 73 airports (48 public, 10 private, 11 restricted, four military, four heliports)

2000: Approximately 1,745 licensed single-engine aircraft, 51 public-use airports
