3RD EBOLA VIRUS VICTIM DIES IN GABON

A third person has died in Gabon's Atlantic coast capital, Libreville, after being infected by the deadly Ebola virus, medical officials in the country said Saturday.

The victim, who died in Melen hospital on the outskirts of the city last week, was a child understood to be the brother of an earlier victim, one medical source said.Ebola, which can kill up to eight out of 10 people it infects, causes fever and uncontrollable bleeding. It is transmitted through contact with contaminated body fluids.
