Organizers of the LDS Film Festival have issued a call for film and screenplay entries for the 2004 event, which runs Jan. 22-24 in Provo.

Now in its third year, the festival spotlights films that demonstrate, "intelligence, spirituality, originality, integrity and technical excellence," said festival director Christian Vuissa. The event's competition programs feature short films by LDS artists or films with LDS-specific material.

Entries are due Dec. 1. Prizes totaling $2,000 will be given to three films and screenplays judged as the festival's best. Also, the festival is currently looking for volunteers to help out with next year's event.

For entry guidelines or for more information on the LDS Film Festival, go to the official festival Web site at www.ldsbox.com.
