Some comments on the news.

1. On Thursday morning's front page, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir appears in the same photograph with Buddy Guy — the greatest blues guitarist alive. This is as cool as the choir will ever get, unless they decide to run with it. I can see it now: the choir singing backup on "Feels Like Rain" and "Five Long Years." And Buddy filling in the breaks on "Battle Hymn of the Republic."

2. Now that society has solved poverty, hunger, racism, war and terrorism, it is nice to see the good women of Sandy fighting for a woman's unalienable right to breast-feed at Burger King. Bravo!

3. How about those Smarts? Talk about taking life's lemons and making some big-time, book-tour, made-for-TV-movie lemonade!

4. Readers say school uniforms promote discipline, so let's dress our little tykes is brown shirts and jack boots. Or would that be, maybe, too much discipline?
