Writers lauded

Deseret Morning News staff writers Lois M. Collins and Elaine Jarvik have received an award from the Utah Hospice Organization for their 12-part series "Final Acts." The award honors them "for increasing public awareness of hospice and end-of-life care in Utah."

The award was presented Thursday at the annual end-of-life care state meeting, held at the Airport Hilton.

"Final Acts" ran from June 2002 through May 2003 and is available at deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,405014098,00.html.
