Skiers and snowboarders get a jump on the season at Brighton, which officially opened two lifts Thursday. Utah resorts received as much as 4 feet of natural snow from the weekend storms, and Brighton's competitors are reviewing conditions for possible early openings. The next scheduled opening is at Alta on Nov. 20. More storms are expected through next week, and resorts are making snow daily.
