Six promotions and six lateral transfers among school administrators were announced in Granite School District this week.
Advancements included: Nancy Weaver, former assistant principal at Valley Junior High School, will become assistant principal at Granger High School; Beverly Cook, present coordinator of language arts in the district office, will become acting principal of Upland Terrace Elementary; Karen Anderson, now assistant principal at West Kearns Elementary, will become principal at Vista Elementary; Ellen Williams, now acting assistant principal at Fox Hills Elementary, will become principal at Fremont Elementary; Gina Morgan, now coordinator of community school at Cyprus High School, will become acting assistant principal at Fox Hills Elementary; and Mary Voelker, now elementary principal at Hartvigsen school for the handicapped, will become acting junior high principal of the school and director of the Jones Center.Principals and assistant principals who have been reassigned include Guy Padgen, from assistant principal, Olympus High, to counselor at Jefferson Junior High; Del Gurr, from assistant principal, Granger High, to assistant principal, Olympus High; Curt Noel, from assistant principal, Cottonwood High, to assistant principal, Granger High; Sundee Listello, from principal of Upland Terrace Elementary to assistant principal, Valley Junior; Don Christensen, from principal of Vista Elementary to principal of West Kearns Elementary; Vicky Burkinshaw, from acting principal at Taylorsville Elementary to principal of the same school.
John Erlacher, who has been principal at Fremont Elementary, has left the district to become involved in private industry.
