Carry a flashlight.
Travel in a group accompanied by an adult.

Show all candy to parents before eating.
Never enter a stranger's home or car.
Only cross the street on designated crosswalks.
If wearing a mask, make sure you can see properly.
For parents:
Make sure all children are accompanied by an adult or responsible teenager.
Make sure your child has dinner before leaving the house.
Know the route children and their chaperone are taking.
Check your child's treats for opened or tampered candy before allowing them eat it.
Make sure children have identification on their clothing (but not visible on the outside).
Make sure children are wearing comfortable shoes.
Set a time for children to be home.
Make sure costumes are short enough to prevent children from tripping or falling.
Allow children to carry only flexible knives, swords or other props.
