Frank Pignanelli:

• Restructure the Community & Economic Development Department to focus solely on economic development, while leaving other duties like housing to another separate department.

• Give city subsidies to developers who build low-priced housing on Main Street and State Street downtown.

• Persuade the state and the LDS Church to open their warehoused historical and cultural collections to create galleries downtown.

Rocky Anderson:

• Advertise Salt Lake City as a resort destination, close to skiing and hiking but with all the amenities of a big city.

• Create a world-renowned yearly Winter Festival.

• Continue to work to bring a 2,800-seat playhouse to Main Street at the former Utah Theater building.
