60 Minutes II (7 p.m., Ch. 2): A woman is charged in her 12-year-old son's suicide; Toby Keith is interviewed.

My Wife and Kids (7 p.m., Ch. 4): Trouble at a funeral.

Ed (7 p.m., Ch. 5): Ed and Carol travel to New York City.

Great Performances (7 p.m., Ch. 7): The Los Angeles Philharmonic inaugurates the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

That '70s Show (7 p.m., Ch. 13): Eric isn't so sure he ought to move to Madison with Donna. (Sixth-season premiere)

NBA basketball (7 p.m., Ch. 14): The new-look Utah Jazz — minus John Stockton and Karl Malone — play host to the Portland Trail Blazers in the season opener.

Star Trek: Enterprise (7 p.m., Ch. 24): Archer and his team infiltrate a Xindi weapons-production facility.

Smallville (7 p.m., Ch. 30): Michael McKean (who's married to series co-star Annette O'Toole) guest stars as a (relatively) young tabloid reporter by the name of Perry White.

It's All Relative (7:30 p.m., Ch. 4): Philip and Simon throw a Halloween bash.

A Minute with Stan Hooper (7:30 p.m., Ch. 13): Norm Macdonald makes like "Newhart" in this promising new sitcom. He's a network news star who moves to small-town Wisconsin and discovers the town is just as crazy as New York City was.

King of Queens (8 p.m., Ch. 2): Doug pretends to be a lawyer to play on a softball team.

The West Wing (8 p.m., Ch. 5): The new vice president offers Will a job; Josh does battle with a right-wing senator (Tom Skerritt).

The O.C. (8 p.m., Ch. 13): One of the season's top guilty pleasures returns from a baseball-created hiatus, and we find out whether Marissa survives her bout with drugs and alcohol. (OK, we know there's no way she's going to die, but. . . . )

Jake 2.0 (8 p.m., Ch. 24): Jake's brother is kidnapped.

Angel (8 p.m., Ch. 30): Lorne throws a big Halloween bash at Wolfram & Hart.

American Masters (8:30 p.m., Ch. 7): A profile of "James Brown: Soul Survivor."

Karen Sisco (9 p.m., Ch. 4): Karen arrests a guy who claims to be an old acquaintance.

48 Hours Investigates (9 p.m., Ch. 2): This newsmagazine airs here because CBS has sent "The Brotherhood of Poland, New Hampshire" on hiatus. Which is a nice way of saying the network has axed it.

Law & Order (9 p.m., Ch. 5): Another ripped-from-the-headlines story — a fire at a rock concert kills 23.
