SAN ANTONIO — Keith Van Horn scored 22 points to lead the New York Knicks to their first exhibition win, 88-74 over the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night.

Charlie Ward added 17 points for the Knicks (15-5), while ex-Ute Michael Doleac and ex-Jazzman Shandon Anderson each had 12.

Tim Duncan had 20 points and 13 rebounds for the Spurs (3-2), who were playing their first home preseason game after 11 days on the road, including an exhibition game in Paris.

Spurs guard Tony Parker twisted his left ankle early in the game. X-rays were negative, but he did not return.

The Spurs got within 62-61 on a free throw by Alex Garcia, but Van Horn hit a 3-pointer with one second left in the third quarter. San Antonio went 4-for-20 in the fourth quarter, including making two field goals over the last seven minutes.

Doleac had eight points in the second quarter as the Knicks took a 45-36 halftime lead.

San Antonio beat the Knicks 85-78 in New York on Sunday.

GRIZZLIES 84, MAGIC 65: At Memphis, Tenn., Pau Gasol scored 26 points in 26 minutes in the Grizzlies' exhibition win. Memphis also got 11 points from Earl Watson and 10 from Shane Battier. Orlando was led by Juwan Howard with 11 points, and Andrew DeClercq added 10. Tracy McGrady, the Magic's leading scorer, played 24 minutes and scored 9 points.

Center Jake Tsakalidis made his first start for Memphis and finished with two points, two rebounds and three turnovers in 22 minutes. The Grizzlies got the 7-foot-2, 290-pound Tsakalidis in a trade from Phoenix on Sept. 30 after spending much of the offseason trying to find more size to add to the Memphis lineup.

CLIPPERS 95, CAVALIERS 90: At Los Angeles, LeBron James played point guard and was more aggressive on offense, but his seven turnovers didn't help in a loss to the Clippers. The 18-year-old rookie had 16 points on 5-for-14 shooting with four assists and three rebounds, making three outside shots after missing at least 10 of them the previous night. Coach Paul Silas moved James to point guard in an effort to get more creativity out of the offense, and James was much more involved than he was the previous night against the Lakers. Corey Maggette had a team-high 15 points for the Clippers, who won despite shooting 34 percent.
