We would like to express appreciation for all those in the community who have reached out to and helped our family. We would especially like to acknowledge the fine work of the Sandy City Police Department and the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office. A special thanks to chaplain Steve Meltzer, detective Travis Petersen, officer Mike Hopkin, attorney Robert Stott and social worker JoAnn Zaharias for your exceptional work as professionals and for the very personal ways in which you have touched our family.

We would also like to acknowledge Salt Lake County District Attorney David Yocom for giving victims a true voice in decision-making, Judge Robin Reese for allowing us to address the court on more than one occasion, and Gary Scheller for ongoing support with the Office of Crime Victim Reparations.

We recognize that there are many people who have provided assistance in various ways over the past three years, many whose names and faces we do not even know. We have felt your love and concern for our family, and we are sincerely grateful for all of you.

Loydene, PJ and Whitney Berg
