The Los Angeles Dodgers activated outfielder Kirk Gibson from the disabled list prior to Tuesday night's game with the Philadelphia Phillies.
To make room for Gibson, the Dodgers sent infielder Mike Sharperson to Class AAA Albuquerque of the Pacific Coast League.Gibson was placed on the 15-day disabled list April 30 with a strained left hamstring muscle. He missed the last 22 games. The 1988 National League MVP was hitting .280 with two home runs and eight RBI.
