DEATH: TOMAS LIGASPI ALMAZAN

A very warm, generous, loving man, Tomas Ligaspi Almazan, 87, passed away February 7, 1995 at his home in Murray, Utah.

Born December 16, 1907 in Tagudin, Ilocos Sur, Phillipines, to Jose and Feliza de la Cruz Almazan. He married Marguerite Knight, April 26, 1937 in Farmington, Utah. She died in 1964. Marriage later sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He married Ann Kalishoek Claus, February 27, 1978 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He retired from KCC after 37 years. Member of LDS Church.Survived by wife, Ann, of Murray; two daughters, Dixie (Tom) Turner, Murray; Eleanor (Delvin) Jenks, Alpine, Utah; 8 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Jose Almazan; sister, Esperanza Valdez; stepsister, Nieves, all of Philippines. Preceded in death by wife, Marguerite, daughter, Bonnie Almazan, two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11, 1995, 1 p.m. at Deseret Memorial Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, where friends may call Friday 7-8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
