FULLERTON STATE HOOP COACH RESIGNS

George McQuarn has resigned as Fullerton State's head basketball coach, less than one month before the start of what would have been his ninth season. McQuarn, 47, could not be reached for comment after the announcement was made Thursday night. He told the sports information office he was stepping down for "personal reasons."
