ALPINE REPORTS APPOINTMENTS OF 3 ELEMENTARY PRINCIPALS AND 4 SECONDARY ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS
Alpine School District has announced the appointment of three new elementary school principals and four new assistant principals for secondary schools.
Appointed as principals are: Lori Miller, interim principal at Cascade Elementary School; Jeanne Holdaway, teacher at Orchard Elementary School; and Linda Weldon-Perkins, district director of classified personnel.According to Luana Searle, director of elementary education, the new principals will not receive school assignments until the needs for the coming year are better known.
Named as assistant principals are James McCoy, Paul Olson, Steven Stewart and Glenn Martin. McCoy comes from the Salt Lake School District and will replace Ray Cordner at Orem High School who is retiring. Olson is currently assistant principal at Pleasant Grove Junior High School and will replace Fran Gardner at Pleasant Grove High School.
Stewart is a math teacher at Orem High School and will replace Olson at Pleasant Grove Junior High School. Martin is completing an administrative internship with the district and will replace Neil Manning, who is retiring, at Orem Junior High School.
