The West Valley City Council thinks it's only fair Hercules Inc.'s Bacchus Plant uses West Valley as the aerospace plant's mailing address.
Council members approved a resolution requesting Hercules, which was annexed into West Valley last year, to change the mailing address from Magna to West Valley City. The resolution said the annexation "was a result of a great deal of work and cooperation between the city, Hercules Inc., Salt Lake County and the state of Utah" that would allow the aerospace plant to continue operations without fear of suburbanization.
Hercules said the continued creep of houses to its plant where rocket fuel is used posed a hazard should an explosion occur.
