Philip Leroy Hodge 1948 ~ 2005 Philip Leroy Hodge, 56, passed away Tuesday, January 18th, at his home in West Valley City. He was born October 25, 1948 in Galesburg, Illinois, to Vergle and Edna Mae Hodge. He is survived by his brother, Bradley (Joyce) of Galesburg, Illinois; niece, Katherine (Michael) Steele of Galesburg, Illinois; nephew, Scott L. Hodge of Slater, Iowa; three uncles, two aunts, three grand-nephews, and one great-niece. After joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he moved to Salt Lake City. He spent time working at ZCMI and his last years working at FranklinCovey where he touched many hearts with his creative caricature drawings of colleagues, and of course his jovial quick-witted sense of humor. He loved to go to the movies, shop, and above all, he loved to find ways to give to all he loved. He will be greatly missed. Memorial services will be held Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, 11:30 a.m. at the FranklinCovey Campus in the Hyrum Smith Auditorium (south entrance), 2200 W. Parkway Blvd. (2640 S.), West Valley City. A viewing will be held Monday, Jan. 24, 6 - 7 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd in Taylorsville. Interment, Knoxville, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, contributions toward returning him to his family in Illinois may be made to the Phil Hodge Funeral Fund at Utah First Credit Union ~ FranklinCovey Branch, (801) 320-2600.
