"Nana"
ST. GEORGE, UT -
Our beloved Mother and Nana, Katherine Mary Bennett Ball, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 29, 2004. Katherine was born on February 10, 1916 in Evanston, Wyoming to Ernest Frederick and Edith Emma Homer Bennett.
She was raised in Evanston and married Robert Henry Ball on July 5, 1934 in Coalville, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the St. George Temple.
Mother enjoyed reading and loved watching the birds in her yard. She could identify each bird by sight and song. She loved nature, sunrises, sunsets, clouds, rain, her yard, garden and flowers.
She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by daughters, Kay Higginson, Loris (Royce) Bills, Dorothy (Robert) Wright, Shirley (Lynn) Earl, Kathy (Calvin) Welling, Susan (Mac) Loveridge, Nancy (Scott) Bodine, along with 27 grandchildren, and 51 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and grandchildren Connie Higginson and Geoffry Bodine.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 1:00 p.m. at the Taylorsville 8th Ward Chapel, 1495 West Tamarack Road, Taylorsville. Friends may call Wed. 12-12:45 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Valley View Memorial Park, WVC. Directors Independent Funeral Service.
