Patricia Marie Burke Roderick, 79, of Pleasant Grove, longtime Salt Lake City resident, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2004.
Born August 10, 1924 in Caliente, Nevada to John Stanley and Isabelle Lena Morris Burke. Married Dee William Roderick on November 22, 1944 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Pat was employed by the LDS Church in the Finance Department as a Staff Librarian and retired after 22 years of service. She served faithfully in many callings, and especially enjoyed her service as Relief Society President in the Mt. View Third Ward.
Many people were blessed by her service.
She is survived by her sweetheart Dee W. Roderick; children: Patricia Wrae McCarthy, Salt Lake; RanDee E. Roderick, Salt Lake; Timm K. (Laurie) Roderick, Kearns; and A. Scott (Sherri) Roderick, Pleasant Grove; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include siblings: Richard A. Burke, Marjorie Detraz, Peggy Westall, and Connie Nelson. Her parents and eight siblings preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 2, 2004 at 12:00 noon in the Mt. View Third Ward Chapel, 1825 South 1700 East, Salt Lake. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Friday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery.
