Pauline Dorothy Gillespie Karren, 87, passed away on Feb 28, 2008 in her home surrounded by her family.
Pauline was born on December 17, 1920 in Salt Lake City, UT to Robert W. and Janet W. Gillespie. She married Boyd T. Karren on June 18, 1938. Pauline was an intelligent, funny and
generous woman. She was and
continues to be, an inspiration to her family, showing us all how to live, love and laugh despite life's many struggles.
Pauline is survived by her children R. Brent Karren; Salt Lake City, UT; Kristine (Kent) Higham, Salt Lake City, UT; Corey (Jennifer) Karren, Sandy, UT; daughter-in-law, Jody Karren, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; grandchildren, Brad (Amy) Karren, Marc (Jami) Karren, Jennifer Brockbank, Thomas Brockbank; Nicole Karren; Anna Karren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Boyd; son, Craig; and all of her siblings. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 3, 2008, 1:00 p.m., at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South, Salt Lake City, UT.
