1990 ~ 2008
In a moment, our lives are changed forever. A senseless accident has taken our daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and friend, Alyssa Marie Lopez on February 26, 2008. Born October 15, 1990 in Salt Lake City to Stephanie Ann Lopez and Larry James Fernandez, her beautiful hazel eyes and bright smile would light up a room. As a junior at West High School, she loved cheerleading and her friends, especially her best friend, Taura Escandon. Her laughter has been silenced, but her spirit will live on with us forever.
She will be missed by many and is survived by her mother Stephanie (Dee) Rendon; her father Larry (Joyce) Fernandez; three brothers Reuben, Gregory and Anthony Rendon; and sisters Desirae Rendon, Savanna and Brooke Fernandez. Grandparents, Alfonso and Lorraine Lopez; Tillie Fernandez; Rudy and Marlene Gregovich; Samuel and Diana Rendon, Larry and Carol Jensen. Great grandparents, Donald and Viola Downey. Special uncles, Michael Montoya, Daniel Lopez, and Jerold Rendon, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceded in death by grandfather, John Anthony Fernandez and great-grandfather, Manuel Gutierrez and aunt, Rocky Lopez.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, March 3, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 715 West 300 North. A vigil service will be held Sunday, March 2, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Committal, Mt.
