Geneva Marie Cooper, 91, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008 in South Ogden of congestive heart failure.She was born September 1, 1916 in Ashton, Idaho, a daughter of John Ether and Edith Elva Karren Gee. She was raised in Ashton, graduating from Ashton High School. She attended Medical Assisting in Long Beach, California. She also lived in Portland, Oregon, North Hollywood, California, Fresno, California, Layton, Utah, Paradise, California and in South Ogden, Utah.

On April 25, 1947, Geneva married Ben Z. Cooper in New York City, New York. Ben preceded her in death on March 4, 1989.

Geneva was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as a Cub Scout Den Mother, Sunday School Teacher, Young Men/ Young Women Secretary, and the Stake Single Adult Leader. She worked as a medical office manager and apartment owner/complex manager.

Geneva traveled extensively in Europe, the South Pacific, Mid-East and Soviet Union.

Surviving are one son, John Cooper, Fruit Heights; daughter-in-law, Rosie Cooper, Fruit Heights; three grandsons, Brian J. Cooper, Salt Lake City; Andrew J. Cooper, Provo; Austin B. Cooper, Fruit Heights; and one great-grandchild, Talia Cooper, Salt Lake City.

Preceding Geneva in death were her parents, one brother, Cleon Gee and one sister, Edith Iola Gee.
