Elder Chad Steven Wayman
1986 ~ 2008
Our beloved Elder Chad Steven Wayman passed through the veil to be with his Father in Heaven on January 11, 2008 due to an unfortunate car accident while serving his mission in Kimberly, South Africa.Chad was born Dec. 4, 1986 at Cottonwood Hospital and raised in Sandy, Utah. He attended Alta High School where he would obtain several certificates of accomplishments including a private pilot ground school, and he graduated with honors. Chad then went on to attend DeVry University in Phoenix, Arizona for one semester in electrical engineering where he then felt compelled to serve the Lord and teach the Gospel. Chad loved playing baseball, was a black belt in Taekwondo, enjoyed many other sports, and also loved woodworking and auto mechanics. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, and had a special love for hunting with his father. He brought light and happiness to everyone around him and there was never a moment that Chad was not enjoying life and living it to its fullest. He never turned down a task that was given to him and would always work diligently until the task was complete. Chad was called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and assigned to labor in the South Africa Johannesburg Mission beginning September 21, 2006. He was very strong in his testimony, and upon arrival, had great success in teaching the Gospel and loved the people of South Africa in all places that he served.
Chad, you are loved by many and will be surely missed by many, but always know that you will be in our hearts, and in our prayers. Forever Hunting young man.
