Marion Arlene Andres Frantz

Our beloved wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend, Marion Arlene Frantz, passed away peacefully Dec. 7, 2007 in Salt Lake City.Born December 19, 1933 to Amil A. and Ethel L. Andres in Stockton, California. Married Arch L. Frantz on November 28, 1964. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
Marion was a lifelong caregiver. She graduated from O'Connor's Hospital School of Nursing in 1955 as a registered nurse. She loved taking care of others during her 51 year career. She was baptized into the LDS Church in 1973. As a member, she served in the Primary, Young Women's, and Relief Society organizations of the Church.
She was raised in Stockton, California, and later moved to Salt Lake City where she raised her family.
Marion's greatest joy was being surrounded by her family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling, baking, sewing, knitting, ironing, and scrapbooking. She was very generous with her time and talents. Marion will be deeply missed by many.
Survived by her husband; son, Stephan (Mayre Ann), Riverton; daughter, Anne-Louise, Holladay: grandchildren, Nicholas, Natalee and Sarah Frantz; brother, Ronald Andres, Stockton, CA; sister, Beverley Vuinovic, Taylorsville; sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Utah Cancer Specialists, St. Mark's Hospital, and Care Source for all of the tender care they gave to Marion.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007 at 12 noon with a visitation from 10:45-11:45 a.m. at the Valley View 11th Ward, 4101 So. 1925 E., Holladay, Utah. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South. Interment at Mt. Olivet. Online condolences at www.larkinmortuary.com
