Joseph William Olsen, Jr. 92, of Highland, died November 16, 2007 in Orem, Utah.Born August 2, 1915 in Salt Lake City, Utah the son of Joseph William Olsen Sr. and Leona Cowley. He married Louise Childs December 28, 1941 in San Pedro, CA their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on October 16, 1942. She preceded Joseph in death July 20, 1972. He married Eldine Bingham Stephens April 28, 1988 in the Provo Temple. Joseph graduated from Moroni High School in 1934. He served an LDS mission to Norway, loved Genealogy, and was a Temple worker for 18 years. He worked as a mail carrier, and was an avid gardener and photographer.
Survivors include, his wife Eldine; daughters Ann (Ted) Stone; Jan Spencer; Janet (Steven) Losee; son, Gary Wayne Olsen; six grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his brothers Benjamin, and Mathias and a great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Highland 6th Ward, 6000 West 11605 North. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, Am. Fork and Wednesday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services.
